Vejle

On April 9 and 10, 2025, NHL Stenden welcomed a delegation from the Danish city Vejle, consisting of representatives from the municipality and various educational institutions. The two-day working visit focused on knowledge exchange regarding campus development, student engagement, and urban innovation.

During the program, the delegation gained insight into how NHL Stenden—in collaboration with partners such as the Municipality of Leeuwarden, Leeuwarden Student City, Identity Matching Academy, and Nordic Campus—is working to create a vibrant campus with strong regional connections. Topics such as Design-Based Education (DBE), broad prosperity, placemaking , and student participation were discussed in detail.

One of the highlights was playing The Place Game , an interactive workshop in which participants collaboratively analyze a physical location and formulate improvement ideas. This approach aligns well with Vejle to involve students and residents more in the design of their city.

The collaboration between NHL Stenden and Vejle marks a significant step towards further internationalization and the development of joint experiments. These include student exchanges, placemakingprojects, and strengthening the sense of community on both campuses.
